So, this is it. The scary "exercise" page.
I've (Heidi) recently discovered that our $9 subscription to Netflix can also be streamed through our Wii, and therefore - on our TV. What does that mean, you're probably wondering?
It means that I have a great supply of exercise videos that I can watch instantly, and I've added a bunch to my instant queue to try out.
This morning, I tried one of the 10 Minute Workouts that was originally published by the Starsz network. Today's was a "Rapid Results" Pilates video, and I did the 10 minute "Buns and Thighs" workout.
And it HURTS.
It's been awhile since I've done Pilates. Like, oh, probably a year. I did it back before kids, and LOVED it - quick results, you didn't get all sweaty and gross, and it was quiet enough that I could do it while traveling (no one knows that you're doing it!!) to visit friends or family that I didn't feel comfortable exercising in front of. I could just head back to the room I was staying in, and do a quick Pilates workout while everyone else thought I was sleeping. It was great!
This morning's workout was HARD, probably because it'd been awhile since I'd done a Pilates workout, and apparently my core muscles SUCK now. I can totally feel it now. My goal is going to be to do one of the 10 minute workouts every day this week, first thing in the morning. If today is any indication, I'm going to be very, very sore come the weekend. ;)
Anyone want to join me?
