Seeing as this is titled "Moms on a Mission," we obviously have children, and are constantly trying to find new ways to entertain and educate them. We struggle with being the best parents we possibly can be. Read about that here, and share comments or strategies!
Plugged In, or Not?
It seems like the constant debate at our house right now (Heidi) is whether or not to allow our children to have any "screen time." For us, this really means whether or not we let them have computer time. We don't get cable, so pretty much the only tv they watch is a show or two on PBS Kids every day, and both Mike and I are comfortable with that. The big debate - as our boys get older - is if we let them get on the computer, and if so, how much and what programs?
We're still trying to discern our opinions on this issue, and what our game plan will be, but here are some helpful articles/sites that we've read in reference to "screen time" in kids.
